Tom Signs off the Season in Style

Rising British touring car star Tom Onslow-Cole signed off his 2011 campaign in style by taking victory in the Independents Trophy at Silverstone’s National circuit on October 16.
The 24-year-old powered his two-litre turbocharged Ford Focus to three points-paying finishes in the final races of the 2011 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship. He took a fourth position in the opening race of the weekend before going one better in the second encounter and climbing the podium to take his first Independents win of the season.

Tom Onslow-Cole says a raft of improvements to his Team Aon Ford Focus should mean he is in a position to step on to the podium again at the final rounds of this season’s 2011 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Silverstone.
The 24-year-old finished third at the last meeting at Brands Hatch to claim his first podium of the season in the two-litre turbocharged car and he thinks that he could go even better at this weekend’s title showdown.
