| Tom tops the Independents at the halfway stage |
  Team Aon Ford Focus racer Tom Onslow-Cole has moved into the lead of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship Independents Trophy points standings after three strong points-scoring finishes at Croft on Sunday.
The New Malden man was robbed of a solid fourth place with an electrical glitch on his liquefied petroleum gas-powered Focus during the opening race of the weekend in North Yorkshire, but nevertheless managed to battle back to bring the car home in eighth place.
The Calor Gas-backed racer followed that up by taking fifth place in the second 15-lapper and then he scored an impressive second place in the last reversed-grid race of the weekend. That result was Tom’s fifth podium finish in the last nine BTCC outings. ...read more> |
